Terms & Conditions

Please read these terms carefully before booking an appointment with AAP Psychological Therapies. They set out what you can expect from us, and what we ask of you in return.

Last updated: 1 October 2026

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your use of the services provided by AAP Psychological Therapies, led by Arlene Alexander-Price ("we", "us", "our"). By booking an assessment, therapy session, or any other service with us, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree with any part of these Terms, please contact us before proceeding with a booking.

1. Introduction

AAP Psychological Therapies provides mental health assessments, psychological assessments, psychological therapies, and ADHD assessment and prescribing facilitation services, delivered by Arlene Alexander-Price, an NMC-registered mental health nurse and BABCP-accredited therapist and supervisor. These Terms apply to all services booked through our website, by phone, or by email.

2. Our Services

We offer evidence-based, NICE-recommended psychological support, including CBT, Trauma-Focused Therapy, Compassion Focused Therapy and Acceptance & Commitment Therapy, alongside mental health and ADHD assessments. Services are available to individuals aged 13 and above, delivered in person or via secure video call, depending on availability and clinical suitability. A full description of each service is available on our Services page.

3. Appointments & Scheduling

Appointments can be booked via our online consultation form, by email, or by phone. We will confirm your appointment date, time, and format (in person or virtual) in writing. Please arrive, or log in for virtual sessions, a few minutes before your scheduled start time so the full session can be used for your care.

4. Fees & Payment

Current fees for all services are published on our Fees page and confirmed to you before your first appointment. A reduced Low Cost rate is available to clients receiving qualifying state benefits, subject to proof of eligibility. Payment is required in accordance with the instructions provided at the time of booking, and no session will be confirmed until payment terms have been agreed.

5. Cancellation Policy

We understand that plans can change. If you are unable to attend a scheduled appointment owing to illness or a change in your personal circumstances, please contact us at your earliest convenience so we can offer the slot to another client and, where possible, find you an alternative time.

Late Cancellation

Cancellations made within 24 hours of your scheduled appointment are classified as a late cancellation, and a late cancellation charge will be applied.

Early Cancellation

Cancellations made 24 hours or more before your scheduled appointment are classified as an early cancellation and will not attract a charge.

50%

The late cancellation charge is 50% of the cost of the appointment.

6. Confidentiality & Data Protection

All sessions are confidential within professional and legal guidelines. Your personal and clinical information is handled in accordance with UK data protection law and our Privacy Policy. Information will only be shared with a third party, including your GP, with your explicit consent or where we are under a legal or professional obligation to do so.

7. Client Responsibilities

To help us provide safe and effective care, we ask that you attend appointments as scheduled, provide accurate information about your health and circumstances, and let us know promptly of any changes that may affect your care, including contact details or relevant medical information.

8. Limitation of Liability

While we take all reasonable care in delivering our services, therapeutic outcomes cannot be guaranteed, as these depend on a range of individual factors. Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for matters which cannot be excluded or limited under applicable law, including death or personal injury caused by negligence.

9. Complaints Procedure

If you are unhappy with any aspect of your care, please raise this with us directly in the first instance via arlene@aapricea.com, so that we can address your concerns promptly and fairly.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in our services or legal requirements. The version published on this page at the time of your appointment will apply. We encourage you to review this page periodically.

11. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales, and any disputes arising from them will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
